The MPS is a fully automated sample preparation and sample introduction robot for GC and LC.
Sample preparation steps are performed during the analysis of the preceding sample for best possible system utilization and highest sample throughput. Every step is selected by mouse-click from a pull-down menu in the MAESTRO software and added to the overall LC or LC/MS method. All steps are performed in a controlled and highly accurate and reproducible manner for best possible results.



The PrepBuilder function of the MAESTRO Software helps you automate all sample Prep Steps including Standard Addition, Derivatization, Extraction, Incubation and Agitation by simply selecting the steps by mouse-click from a drop down menu. Further detail such as for example fill speed or injection speed can be specified in the method. The PrepBuilder method is integrated with the overall method. When operated with the Agilent ChemStation, one method and one sequence table controls the complete system from automated sample prep to GC/MS or LC/MS analysis and data handling.



The MAESTRO Scheduler provides a graphical overview of the Sample Prep steps and the GC/MS or LC/MS analysis times for the entire list of samples to be analyzed. Based on the scheduler overview, Sample Prep and Analysis times can easily be optimized for best throughput. The effect of any change to the method on productivity is immediately seen on the display.

Sample preparation steps are performed while the analysis of the preceding sample is ongoing, ensuring best possible system utilization and highest sample throughput. Every step is performed in a controlled, highly accurate and reproducible manner for best possible results.


On-Time Sample Preparation

All samples receive equal treatment since each sample is prepared at the exact same point in time prior to sample introduction for best accuracy and repeatability. This is especially important for analytes that are thermally labile or for samples that can be exposed to microbial activity leading to analyte break-down.
